2008-2023 Dodge Challenger Headers

Help your muscle car realize its full potential with 2008-2023 Challenger headers from AmericanMuscle. A stock manifold usually doesn't give your exhaust gases a uniform path to follow, so gas isn't pushed out as efficiently as it could be. This can create backpressure, which can mess with your Challenger's performance. Pulling that twisted piece of metal out and replacing it with a header will cut down on backpressure and increase exhaust flow, giving you up to 10 percent more horsepower. The actual gains you get will depend on a number of factors, but you should notice a marked increase in HPs, horsepower and even fuel economy.

We carry both shorty and long tube headers. Which one is right for your Challenger? It depends on your driving style and setup. A long tube header extends at least a foot in length before pairing with your collector, giving you noticeable gains in the mid to high RPM bands, making them ideal for max speed and power are required. They're not as effective in the lower RPM band, however. And, since they aren't emissions-friendly, you won't be street legal with them.

Shorty headers, sometimes called "block huggers," are headers that are less than a foot in length. They'll give you a significant boost in horsepower and torque, but they also come with a range of other benefits. First of all, you'll be street legal because you can keep your O2 sensors right where they are. And, because these bad boys are short enough to be considered "direct-fit," installation doesn't require any modifications.

Both styles will give you healthy gains and, as a bonus, your Challenger will achieve a deeper, throatier growl that's guaranteed to turn heads when you pass.

Headlight technology has come a very long way since Dodge produced its first Challenger pony car. The choice of headlights and headlight bulbs used to be very small and they were simple parts. Today, however, we enjoy a vast variety of headlight bulbs that work using many different lighting technologies. The older style of headlight bulb is an incandescent unit that uses either halogen or, on the latest bulbs, xenon gas. More recently, High-Intensity Discharge (HID) and LED technology has arrived on the scene. HID headlight units produce that unbeatable powerful white light that makes it super easy for you to see the road and for other road users to see you coming. Installing HID units requires a little bit of technical ability, however. The latest kits include everything you need to wire up the system, including the ballast unit required to initiate the HID process. They work with very high voltages, however, so you might want a professional to handle your installation. An easier way to get a choice of bright lighting colors, as well as longer bulb life than you might be getting from our incandescent bulbs, is LED headlight bulbs. They’re easy to install, give out a powerful light, and can have a rated life expectancy of more than 50,000 hours! When it comes to choosing Challenger headlight bulbs, you’ll need to confirm the fitting needed for your car. Apart from that, just decide on the wattage you need and the color of the light you like. Depending on the lighting technology, you could have a choice of white light, blue light, blue-white, yellow, and even green. We’re not talking about heavy coloration, though. It’s only the slight tint in the light. The quality and power of your headlights is crucial for your safety at night. Don’t wait to upgrade your lighting, start browsing our catalog today.
