Zachary’s Sweepstakes Story:
“My very first car was a 2001 Mustang V6, a real clunker! I made it my own though! Everything from new wheels to a CAI. It was then I realized I had a passion for Mustangs. I remember seeing the Project MMD build when I was in high school. I was fortunate enough to receive a 2014 V6 for my senior year of high school, I made it my own and miss it to this day. I always had my eye set on a 5.0L V8 though. Like the ones from AM! When I was in a computer class in school one day of my senior year. I had a substitute and I definitely used that opportunity to look at some car parts. I see the registration for the MDD giveaway. Well what’s the worst that can happen, right? I entered expecting nothing of it. I don’t remember how many times I registered, but I graduated high school on to do better things. Well while at lunch one day I received a call saying that m name was the first one drawn for Project MMD! I was such in shock that I literally tripped over the curb while on the phone. I flew to Pennsylvania to attend the AM Car Show and got to tour the AM shop! Definitely a dream come true! There was so many people at the car show and I was so nervous to talk away with though. Needless to say it was a blessing and an honor to walk away with those keys that I’ve always dreamt about.”
The Build
This build is badass! Built to appear at the SEMA show in Vegas, this build was dressed to impress, both interior and exterior. You may have caught the 3-part series, “Road to SEMA”, featuring the progress of the build for Project MMD. First episode, we saw this ride get equipped with the MMD Track Package including some nice Recaro seats, Brembo Breaks and 3.37 gears, Project MMD was already looking good as it preforms. Speaking of looking good, Project MMD was wrapped in a Matte Finish White vinyl and a matte black finish on the roof and Episode 2 revealed the slick styling package MMD hooked us up with. Wrapping up at the SEMA show in Vegas the final episode featured the Vortech Supercharger Black 20th Anniversary kit coupled with the JLT Blow through intake and a Snow Performance Stage 3 Boost cooler to keep the engine cool when you’re really exploring that 589HP. Finished off with a Boss midpipe exhaust and the custom shorty bullet mufflers, giving it a mean growl to finish off this build.
Life After The Build:
“I still have the car til this day. I haven’t done any mods, what else does it need? Some long tube headers might be in the works through! It normally stays at home with my dad once I enlisted in the army. It’s definitely a nice relief to come home and drive some good ol’ American Muscle.”
