2. Using Antenna Tool (Scott Drake Part No. T-67 or equivalent), remove retaining nut from antenna base cover*. Figure 2 Then remove base cover. Figure 3
3. Remove rubber base cover seal from stock antenna base cover and install on billet base cover, making sure it is properly seated. Place billet antenna base cover over antenna base and install retaining nut*, making sure base cover is aligned properly . Figures 4, 5, & 6
4. Thread in antenna mast**
*It may be necessary to wrap Antenna Tool with a rag and clamp on a pair of locking pliers on the tool to get the necessary leverage to remove and install the retaining nut. Again it is important not to over tighten the nut.
**To ensure mast does not come loose it is recommended that the shorty antenna mast is wrapped with a rag and locking pliers are used to tighten mast into antenna base.
Mast needs to be only tight enough to prevent accidental loosening.
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
