How to Install an Accel Super Coil On Plug Kit on Your 2011-2012 Mustang GT

Installation Instructions

1. Start out by disconnecting the negative battery terminal using an 8mm socket.

2. Next remove the engine cover by pulling straight up on it.

3. Remove the PCV line from the passenger side valve cover. Just squeeze the gray clip and pull up to remove. You can remove the whole line or just the valve cover side and push out of the way.

4. Take off the oil filler cap and set aside.

5. Now remove the coil pack cover by simply pulling straight up on it.

6. Using a 8mm socket, remove the bolts securing the stock coil packs to the valve cover.

7. Now using either your fingers or a flathead screwdriver, push in on the small black tab while pulling up on the red tab on the coil pack plug.

8. Once all of the bolts are removed and the coil packs are unplugged, pull out each coil pack. Pull firmly because they may be sealed tight onto the spark plugs.

9. Now that all of the coil packs are removed it is time to install the new ones.

10. Push the new coil packs down onto each spark plug and tighten each bolt down using an 8mm socket.

11. Now plug the coil packs back into the wiring harness and push the red tabs back down.

12. Once all of them are installed it should look like the picture below.

13. Now install the coil pack cover back onto the valve cover by pushing down on it.

14. Screw the oil filler cap back on and reconnect the PCV line to the valve cover.

15. Now complete all of the previous steps for the driver side of the vehicle.

16. Put the engine cover back on by pushing straight down on it.

17. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
