1. Remove cable from negative battery terminal.
2. Begin the installation process on the driver’s side bank. Using a 9mm socket, remove securing screw from individual coil.
4. Remove stock coil.
5. If you are replacing the spark plug at the same time: use a 5/8 deep socket (spark plug socket) to each removal of the stock plugs.
6. Place dielectric grease on the boot portion of the Accel coil as well as a trace amount inside the female electric receptacle that connects to the coil/plug wire.
8. Using the 5/8 deep socket, replace the spark plug.
9. Insert the Accel coil and secure using the 9mm socket.
10. Reconnect the coil/plug wire and slide the red locking mechanism forward until an audible click is heard.
11. Repeat the procedure for the remaining (2) plugs on the driver’s side.
NOTE: The passenger side will require the removal of the Air Intake Manifold.
12. There are (7) screws securing the manifold to the engine block that need to be removed using a 9mm socket.
13. Various connections will need to be removed including the PCV valve hose, the EGR electrical connector and hose clip, the throttle body electrical connector, and (3) wire loom harness connectors.
14. Remove the manifold from the car and set aside. You now have access to the passenger side bank.
16. Replace and secure the Air Intake Manifold including the 9mm screws, electrical connectors, loom harness connectors, and hoses.
17. Reconnect negative battery terminal.
