Step 1: Remove the engine cover to gain access to the throttle body.
Step 2: Using a 7mm socket, loosen the two clamps on the intake tube. Disconnect all three SAE fittings from the intake tube. Using a pair of pliers, remove the spring clamp from the large 1” rubber hose and then disconnect the hose from the intake tube.
Step 3: Using an 8mm socket, remove the four bolts securing the throttle body. (These bolts will not be reused for this installation but you should save in case throttle body spacer is ever to be removed.)
Step 4: Install the new Throttle Body Spacer in between the intake manifold and the throttle body. Ensure the engraved side of the spacer that is marked with the part number, “TOP” and “AIR IN” is positioned properly and that it is facing the intake manifold. Install the supplied gasket in-between the throttle body and the throttle body spacer. Use the supplied hardware to secure the throttle body, gasket and spacer to the intake manifold by using a 10mm socket. Place the flat washer, lock washer, and then the M6 bolt (in that order) into the four mounting locations.
Step 5: Reinstall the intake tube. Connect all three SAE connectors. Reattach the 1” rubber hose & spring clamp and tighten both hose clamps (using 7mm socket) to secure the tube.
Step 6: Reinstall the engine cover and press down firmly on the mounting points to verify proper installation.
Your install in now complete! Make sure to retighten all bolts and clamps after 100 miles of driving.
