6mm Bolts x4
6mm washers
Gasket
Tools:
5/16” Socket
10mm Socket
Ratchet
Extension
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. On the breather hose connected to your air duct, push upward on the green tab and spin it out of your way.
3. Use your 5/16” socket to loosen both hose clamps on the duct shown here. Now you can set the duct aside.
4. Get out your 5/16” socket again and attach the extension. Then, unbolt the four bolts around the throttle body, shown here-
**Side Note: The throttle body can get really gunked up over time so with the throttle body removed from the intake manifold, you can clean the blade. Just use a standard carburetor/throttle body cleaner and a shop towel to get the job done.
5. Slide two of the new bolts through the included washers, top two holes in the throttle body, then the gasket, and then the spacer. Then go ahead and snug those up to the intake manifold but DO NOT over tighten them. Go ahead and fasten the bottom bolts once you’re certain the gasket is lined up with the bolt holes.
**Side Note: make sure that the rubber O-ring is still installed between the intake manifold and your new spacer.
6. Reinstall everything and then enjoy your added torque and fuel efficiency.
