Caution : On 1996-2004 Mustangs the Passive anti-theft system (PATS) must be disabled before installing the Race Panel. The car will not start with the factory instrument cluster unplugged unless the PATS is disabled. The PATS can be turned off using an aftermarket custom programmer or chip. SCT has existing software to turn off the PATS. Contact SCT at 407-774-2447 or http://www.sctflash.com/ for help disabling PATS.

NOTE: Race panels can be painted using a plastic safe paint.

1. Remove two screws in top of factory bezel. Use small screwdriver in the slotted area of the light switch knob to release tension on spring clip while pulling forward
to remove knob.

2. Pull forward on bezel from the inside bottom, detaching clips from the dash.

3. Install supplied aluminum brackets as shown in Figures 1 & 2.

4. Test fit the Race panel without gauges to properly align the aluminum brackets, but do not actually install the race panel at this time.

5. Now the gauges can be put into the panel. The 2-1/16 gauges are press fit. Tachometers, Speedometers, and 2-5/8” gauges use the brackets supplied with the gauges.

6. Complete the gauge installation per each gauge instruction.

7. Install Mustang Race Panel.
