Follow these instructions carefully to ensure correct fitment and operation.
STEP 1: Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
STEP 2: Remove the Air Temperature Sensor from the inlet tube. Loosen the clamps on the inlet tube at the throttle body and at the air box. Disconnect the breather hose and remove the inlet tube.
STEP 3: Disconnect the throttle cables and return spring.
STEP 4: Unplug the TPS and IAC valve electrical connections.
STEP 5: Remove the four nuts that retain the throttle body to the intake.
STEP 6: On a work bench, remove the stock TPS and IAC Valve. Install onto the BBK Throttle Body. Use the new provided gasket for the IAC Valve. Use the provided black bushing for the TPS. Install the TPS Bushing before the TPS
STEP 7: Install the provided gasket and throttle body onto the intake using the stock nuts and tighten.
STEP 8: Re-install the throttle cables and return spring.
STEP 9: Reconnect the TPS and IAC electrical connections. Re-install the air inlet tube and tighten the clamps, reconnect the breather hose and Air Temperature Sensor. Then reconnect the negative battery terminal.
STEP 10: Turn the idle screw counter clock-wise until you can see between the screw and the throttle linkage, if using a feeler gauge, .010”. Then turn clock-wise one full turn.
STEP 11: Be sure the Idle Valve Adjustment screw (gold colored slot head) is turned clock-wise until it bottoms out. Do not use too much force when bottoming out.
STEP 12: Start the engine, if no idle can be achieved, turn the gold colored idle valve screw counter clock-wise in small increments, restarting the engine until desired idle is achieved.
