How to Install BBK Rear Axle Bump Stop (79-04 All) on your Ford Mustang
STEP 1: Raise rear of vehicle up and support on sturdy jackstands.
STEP 2: Locate pinion snubber bracket mounted to vehicle floor just above the front of the rear axle at the center of the vehicle. Fig. 1
STEP 3: Using an 8mm socket, remove the three mounting bolts that mount it to the body.
STEP 4: Remove bracket and stock snubber.
STEP 5: Remove nut from snubber stud and remove snubber from bracket. Fig. 2
STEP 6: Install the GRIPP pinion snubber with provided nut into the bracket. Fig. 3
STEP 7: Reinstall bracket with new GRIPP snubber back in place. Fig. 4
STEP 8: Carefully lower vehicle back down.
