Follow these instructions carefully to ensure correct fitment and operation.
Step 1: With the engine cool to avoid burns and the negative battery cable disconnected to avoid shock, unplug the throttle position sensor from the harness.
Step 2: Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws which attach to the sensor to the factory throttle body.
Step 3: When installing the new TPS keep in mind that the sensor is spring-loaded - therefore, it must be installed counter clockwise to its lined up position then rotate the sensor clockwise and install the two Phillips head screws.
Step 4: After reconnecting the sensor to the harness and reattaching the negative battery cable - now turn the key to the “on” position (not running) and using a voltmeter check the voltage reading off the middle wire of the sensor to insure approximately .8-1.0 volt. To change voltages simply loosen the two Phillips head screws and rotate the sensor to change voltage.
