Installation

PLEASE NOTE: This install guide shows the 05-12 GT/V6 Black Strut Tower Brace; however, the process is the same for both the (2) and (4) mounting location strut braces as well as for all 2005 models.

Installation Instructions:

1. Lay the strut tower brace across a flat surface and set the plate in the center of the brace. Insert each screw into its rightful spot and place a 2.5mm hex key into the top of each screw to hold in place. Hand-tighten each nut onto the screws and further tighten with a 7mm socket or wrench until secure.

2. Begin by engaging the emergency brake in vehicle. Open your hood and remove the (4) 13mm nuts on each of strut mount stud for a total of eight nuts.

3. Place the strut tower brace on the studs opening forward and then align by centering studs in brace holes. Loosely place each nut on the studs as you center and align the brace. The brace is contoured to metal strut tower area to ensure proper fitting.

4. Once your brace is aligned, fully tighten all (8) 13mm nuts.

5. Take your Mustang for a short test drive and then double check to ensure all strut tower nuts are tight.
