How to Install BMR Adjustable Sway Bar End Link Kit - Front and Rear on your Mustang

Installation Time

15 minutes

Tools Required
  • Wrenches – 10mm, 14mm, 17mm, 18mm, 19mm, 6mm Allen
  • Hydraulic jack and jack stands

Rear Installation:

1. Lift vehicle and safely support on jack stands. Remove both rear wheels.

2. Using a 10mm wrench or socket, remove the brake hose bolts out on the sway bar end link brackets as shown in IMAGE 1

3. Using the 6mm Allen wrench to hold the center of the end link, remove the nut using an 18mm wrench as shown in IMAGE 2. Duplicate for the other side.

4. Remove the end link.

5. Adjust the BMR end link to the approximate length of the OE link and tighten the jam nuts using two 19mm wrenches.

6. Install the BMR end links and tighten the nuts using a 19mm wrench on the nut and a 14mm wrench to hold the stud from turning.



Front Installation:

1. Lift vehicle and safely support on jack stands. Remove both front wheels.

2. Using an 18mm wrench on the nut and 17mm wrench on the stud, remove the factory end links. 

3. Adjust the BMR end link to the approximate length of the OE link and tighten the jam nuts using two 19mm wrenches. 4. Install the BMR end links and tighten the nuts using a 19mm wrench on the nut and a 14mm wrench to hold the stud from turning. NOTE: If using the BMR adjustable front sway bar (SB044) on the stiffest setting, relocate the end link mounting position on the strut from the rear mount to the front mount for optimal clearance. See IMAGE 3 for example.
