Description, Q&A
Description. BMR Suspension has taken the guesswork out of making huge handling improvements to the Fifth Gen Camaro, and put it all in one convenient package. Countless hours of design, engineering, and track testing gives you the best combination of parts for remarkable handling on the street and track. Matching specific components, increasing chassis rigidity, improving suspension geometry provides you with an incredible blend of performance, aesthetics, and comfort. This is the perfect suspension solution for anyone looking for the ultimate in handling for the street and track. BMR’s Level 4 Handling Package (HPP021) addresses all the major points of the suspension, improving the “system” and not just a few components. BMR Suspension designed the HPP021 to work well for street performance and handling applications. The entire system is 100-percent bolt-in and require zero cutting, welding, or modification to the chassis or suspension. BMR’s HPP021 Level 4 Handling Package is designed to give you the ultimate in track day performance, while remaining comfortable enough to drive on the street. The combination of parts is designed to truly transform the car into a handling machine. This package address nearly all parts of the suspension system, and the installation is best suited for a seasoned mechanic. Whether you simply want a better handling daily driver, or the ultimate track day car, rely on BMR Suspension! Lowering Springs (SP019) All BMR springs are manufactured from chrome silicon high-tensile spring wire, and are cold wound on a CNC coiling machine. Every BMR spring is compressed solid at the factory, and stress-relieved. Every spring’s rate is computer tested as the last step. This allows BMR to offer a LIFETIME WARRANTY against spring sag. Blending aesthetics and performance, BMR has designed the SP019 for the street performance crowd who want to use their cars in a variety of applications. These springs will drop your V-8-equipped 2010 and newer Camaro 1-inch, and feature a fine-tuned spring rate to give you great handling and a smooth ride. The linear spring rate offers plenty of support, keeping the body flat and level in the corners, while remaining soft enough for a comfortable ride on any road. When performance and looks are a must, rely on BMR Suspension! Sway Bars (SB030) BMR Suspension’s SB030 front and rear sway bar kit was designed by factoring in the vehicle weight, application, motion ratio, coil spring rate, and adjustability requirements. Manufactured from heavy-wall 29mm (front) and 25mm (rear) DOM tubing, the SB030 is cold formed to better resist torsional fatigue and retain its "memory" far longer than the hot-formed bars used by many competitors. The sway bar is CNC-formed for exact manufacturing tolerances and repeatable high quality. Thrust washers locate the sway bar bushing mounts, preventing lateral movement. The sway bar bushings are molded from greasable 88-durometer polyurethane, and are internally fluted to keep grease in the bushing. The sway bar is 3-way adjustable, allowing you to tune the amount of torsional spring rate and determine the handling characteristics (understeer/oversteer) of the vehicle. The SB030 sway bars give you a 98%-214% increase (front) and a 99%-301% increase (rear) in sway bar rate. These rate increases and adjustability allow you to fine-tune the handling characteristics of your Camaro so you can drive harder through corners with minimal body roll. Total Suspension Bushing Kit (BK023) BMR Suspension Total Suspension Bushing Kit is designed to minimize suspension deflection and improve overall handling in your 2010 Camaro. Manufactured from low-deflection polyurethane, this kit consists of the street version Rear Cradle Bushing Kit (BK020), Rear Suspension Bushing Kit (BK021), and Front Suspension Bushing Kit (BK022). The BMR Total Suspension Bushing Kit minimizes bushing deflection in all front and rear suspension links by replacing front radius rod bushings, front lower control arm bushings, steering rack mount bushings, rear lower control arm bushings, rear trailing arm bushings, and differential mount bushings. The kit also adds cradle bushing inserts, significantly reduce cradle bushing deflection. Subframe Connectors (SFC015) Stiffening the chassis and reducing flex improves handling and performance. BMR Suspension Subframe Connectors are constructed from 1- x 1-inch x 0.120 wall rectangular tubing with 3/16-inch CNC laser cut and CNC-formed steel plates. These Subframe Connectors use pre-existing boltholes, making them 100-percent bolt-in. The triangulated design stiffens and reinforces the chassis by joining three key areas of the vehicle's chassis—the front subframe, carrier bearing location, and the rear subframe where the rear suspension cradle mounts. By tying these three locations together, the Subframe Connectors enhance the handling and response of your Camaro. BMR designed the SFC015 subframe connectors to tuck as closely to the body as possible, giving you the maximum amount of ground clearance possible. Driveshaft Tunnel Brace (DTB004) Strengthening the floor pan and driveshaft tunnel in your 2010-newer Camaro is easy with BMR Suspension’s Driveshaft Tunnel Brace. Constructed from 1- x 2-inch, 0.083 wall rectangular steel with 3/16-inch CNC laser cut steel plates, these braces replace the factory stamped steel brace, which does little to reduce deflection. The BMR Driveshaft Tunnel Brace uses factory boltholes making it 100-percent bolt-in. BMR’s DTB004 increases the rigidity of the tunnel in the critical area where the driveshaft carrier bearing is located. Toe Rods (TR003) The toe rods are responsible for maintaining toe settings of the rear wheels, similar to tie rod ends on the front end. This ensures that the wheels remain set in a fixed position, not erratically pointing inward or outward under load and through normal suspension travel. The factory toe rods are made from flimsy stamped steel and use soft rubber bushings at the mounting points. Under load, deflection can cause poor launch stability, inconsistent handling, and decreased braking ability. BMR adjustable Toe Rods are manufactured from 1.25-inch heavy-duty DOM tubing and are on-car adjustable. This gives you the ability to quickly and easily adjust the toe without having to remove the arms from the car. They feature a heavy-duty ¾-inch chrome moly center adjuster, with TIG welded chrome moly tube adapters. They connect to the car with internally fluted, 95-durometer polyurethane bushings for smooth quiet operation. Trailing Arms (TCA026) Stock stamped steel trailing arms with soft rubber bushings deflect under load and absorb power instead of transferring it to the tires. This deflection is also on of the most significant contributors to wheelhop. BMR’s polyurethane, non-adjustable trailing arms for Camaros (TCA026) are manufactured from heavy-duty 1x2-inch boxed steel tubing. The open end is formed from CNC laser cut, CNC formed 3/16-inch steel plate. This design gives you a strong trailing arm arm that greatly improves performance, reducing wheelhop and increasing traction. Greasable, 95-durometer bushings add a solid, more responsive feel over the stock rubber bushings. BMR’s bushings are internally fluted, which allows grease to evenly coat the inner sleeve. The TCA026’s heavy-duty construction eliminates trailing arm flex, giving you much improved repeatability on the street, starting line, or in the corners. BMR’s polyurethane bushings are designed to be compliant enough to give you a comfortable ride and absorb NVH, while remaining firm enough to stand up to high loads of any performance environment. The bushings easily handle the high compression loads of hard launches and hard acceleration, yet offer plenty of articulation for great handling. Lower Control Arms (TCA028) BMR Suspension’s lower control arms with polyurethane bushings will deflect less and transfer power more efficiently than stock stamped steel control arms with soft rubber bushings. The TCA028 non-adjustable tubular control arms are fully TIG-welded and constructed from heavy-duty 2-inch square tubing and CNC-formed, laser-cut steel plates. They include internal gussets for additional strength. The greasable, 95-durometer, polyurethane bushings are internally fluted, which allows grease to evenly coat the inner sleeve, keeping grease in the bushing under high compression loads. The TCA028’s heavy-duty construction eliminates control arm flex, giving you much improved repeatability on the street, starting line, or in aggressive cornering maneuvers. The newly redesigned BMR lower control arms feature reinforced sway bar mounts that make them compatible with 2010-2011 FE3 suspension as well as the 2012+ Camaro FE4 suspension. The overall length has been shortened to correct camber on lowered vehicles. An additional 1/4-inch of wheel clearance is also designed into the arms for the guys looking to run 17-inch wheels. BMR’s polyurethane bushings are designed to be compliant enough to give you a comfortable ride and absorb NVH, while remaining firm enough to stand up to high loads of any performance environment. BMR Suspension’s HPP021 Level 4 Handling Package is available in black hammertone and red powdercoat for long-lasting good looks. Installation time is 8-12 hours. Proudly made in the U.S.A.
