Chrome Mustang Master Cylinder Pump Cover ('96-'04) - Installation Instructions

1. Be sure your engine is turned off and cooled down.

2. Locate your power brake system by the firewall on the driver’s side of the engine compartment. The kit was designed so it can easily be installed without having to remove any of your brake parts.
Note:Ford changed the length of the cylinder this cover is designed for so in some years the chrome cover will only cover about 2/3 thirds of the exposed cylinder. This is normal.

3. slide the ring on the black tube, making sure the wider end of the ring is facing towards the front of the car.

4. Next carefully slide the slotted tube over the cylinder being careful not to disturb your brake reservoir. Curl it tight and lock the back end against the ring you already placed over the cylinder.

5. Once done slide the end cap up to the front of the black cylinder and lock the rolled cover into the end cap.

6. Once done see if the unit remains snug in place. If not because of variances you can use a small amount of masking tape to build up the black cylinder so the cover will stay firmly intact.

7. Use any mild chrome polish to maintain its appearance.
