Response is Everything. A suspension that gives let's power go to waste. Whether you're attacking the quarter-mile, tackling the road course, or just out for a spirited drive, a sloppy suspension will make that Mustang suffer. Don't just focus on better shocks and tubular components, though. If the bushings are squishy, those other modifications go in vain. That's why it's essential to move to polyurethane bushings whenever you opt to take things up a notch.
More Than Durable Enough. The stiffer nature of polyurethane bushings is a good indication of how it's going to hold up against rubber. Heat won't bog it down, and it'll face many more cycles before it starts to loosen up. As if that's not enough, it's also far more resilient to road debris and gunk that eats rubber up faster than you can scarf meals between driving sessions in that Mustang.
You’re Going in Anyway. Either you're rebuilding or revamping that 20-plus-year-old Mustang's suspension anyway. If you're after performance, there's no reason not to switch to polyurethane bushings while you're at it. If you're just rebuilding it and don't care to match everything to factory specifications, well, you might as well give polyurethane bushings a crack too. Why? Because it will level up that pony car in more ways than you might think for the minimal expense and work.
Application. Fits 1979-1998 Ford Mustang models.
