Richmond gears
Well I’m all excited to install these gears I just haven’t had time yet so I can’t really say how good they are but I know Richmond is a great product and I know these gears are going to really liven up my car so if anybody is listening in they need to get gears for their race car Then I would definitely go with Richmond

Review shared from EXCEL from Richmond Ring and Pinion Gear Kit; 3.73 Gear Ratio (11-14 Mustang V6)
I just got a new car.
I will never purchase a vehicle that is not standard transmission. Going from 2.73 to 3.73 takes some getting used to with the 6 speed. You will have to change your shift rhythm. Depending on your exhaust setup… don’t even bother with first gear. Unless you like the popcorn machine you’re riding in. I used to never use sixth gear. 2,500 rpm going 70 in 5th. Now it’s 2,000 rpm going 70 in 6th. Now I never use first gear. They make a lot of noise. But breaking it in properly, and getting the diff fluid changed as prescribed will prove to you… they are just noisy. Not a lot of metal is in the fluid If broken in properly. Pair this with the driveshaft shop aluminum one piece… it’s a different car.

3.45 gears
Great price and it gets off the line alot better than stock but you do have to sacrifice two things one is gas and the other or Rpms but othere than that there great and not to bad on the high way its great for a every day driver thats what my car is and it definitely puts a little bit of pep in it step I would definitely recommend it to others

the sweet spot
Before I installed the 3.73 gears I had the 4.10s. Let me just say while going 45mph in 5th gear at 2500 rpm I came to the conclusion that I bit off more than I can chew. I ended up getting these 3.73 and I couldn't be more happy still the same amount of seat sucking as the 4.10 and the 3.73 didn't eat gas like a v8. overall I am impressed and I will run 3.73 on all my mustangs from this point forward. The install was tedious with this and a lsd and still have a faint whine but nothing terrible.

Review shared from EXCEL from Richmond Ring and Pinion Gear Kit; 4.10 Gear Ratio (05-09 Mustang GT, GT500)
Noisy!
Super noisy gear! Do not recommend. Only bought because ford performance was out of stock so i figured the price is similar so the quality has got to be as good. Upon opening the box the quality appears to be good. So I Had a shop install them and were so noisy I took it to a second shop to get it looked at to make sure everything was done correctly. Everything was in spec and is obnoxiously noisy above 45mph and on decel. Go ford performance.
