      Description

      Smoother High-Performance Handling. Enjoy smoother race track handling with the Fidanza Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel. This 6-bolt flywheel is engineered to disperse heat more quickly. This gives you a smoother and more efficient transmission of power, which results in a faster and more consistent grip in high-performance driving situations.

      Military-Grade Construction. To ensure maximum performance and durability, Fidanza built this flywheel from industrial-grade 6061 T6 billet aluminum. Its 1045 steel plate surface is secured using military-grade fasteners, while its heat-treated 1050 steel ring gear is fastened with Grade 8 button screws to ensure lasting security. In addition, a stepped dowel system is utilized to lock in place this flywheel.

      Re-Buildable Friction Surface. This flywheel comes with a replaceable 1045 steel friction surface. This design makes “bedding in” of newly installed clutches faster and more efficient.

      SFI 1.1-Certified. Please note that this flywheel has a safety rating of SFI 1.1. This makes it safe for use in most high-performance applications.

      Covered by a Limited 1-Year Warranty. To ensure customer satisfaction, this Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel is covered by Fidanza’s 1-year warranty against material or workmanship defects starting from the date of sale.       Application. This 6-Bolt Fidanza Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel installs on all 1996 to 2004 4.6L Ford Mustang models.

      Technical Note. Mustangs with Romeo built engines feature 6-bolt cranks, while Windsor engines feature 8-bolt cranks. A Windsor block has an "X" as its VIN's 8th character, while a Romeo block has a "W" instead. Please note, however, that the 2001 Bullitt Mustang is an exception which has a Romeo built engine. Please ask your Ford dealer for more information.
