Exceptional Track Handling. Bring out your Mustang’s awesome potential with the Fidanza Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel. It has been specially engineered to transfer power more efficiently from the engine to the transmission, so you can stay ahead of the race more consistently. It is also designed to dissipate heat more quickly than regular flywheels. Indeed, with this 8-bolt flywheel allows you to drive aggressively with even smoother engine performance.
Heavy-Duty Construction. To ensure superb performance in high-intensity driving conditions, this flywheel is constructed using 6061 T6 billet aluminum with high tensile strength. It also features a replaceable 1045 steel plate surface which is fastened using military-grade fasteners. Meanwhile, its ring gear is made from heat-treated 1050 steel, which is secured using Grade 8 button screws for lasting strength. Keeping this flywheel in place uses the stepped dowel system for maximum security.
Re-Buildable Design. Fidanza designed this flywheel with a replaceable friction surface which is made out of 1045 steel. This design helps newly installed clutches to “bed in” properly for excellent grip.
SFI 1.1-Certified. For your peace of mind, this Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel is SFI 1.1-certified. This makes it perfect for high-performance or competitive applications.
Limited 1-Year Warranty. To assure quality, this Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel carries Fidanza’s 1-year warranty against defects in material or workmanship from the date of purchase. Some limitation may apply. Please contact our customer support for details.
Application. This 8-Bolt Fidanza Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel is designed to install on all 2005 to 2010 Ford Mustang GT models.
Technical Note. Mustangs with Romeo built engines have 6-bolt cranks, while Windsor engines have 8-bolt cranks. Engines with a Windsor block can be identified via the VIN's 8th character that should be an "X." Meanwhile, engines with a Romeo block is marked with a "W" instead. The 2001 Bullitt Mustang is the exception with its Romeo built engine. Please contact your Ford dealer to find out if you have a 6 or an 8 bolt main.
