      Description

      Remarkable Handling. The Fidanza Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel is built to bring out your Ford Mustang’s inner beast around the tracks. Designed to outperform regular flywheels, this 8-bolt flywheel dissipates heat faster and more consistently, so you can enjoy efficient transmission of power and smoother handling in high-performance situations.

      Industrial-Grade Construction. Fidanza built this flywheel out of 6061 T6 billet aluminum with a high tensile strength to ensure maximum durability. Its replaceable 1045 steel plate surface is fastened using military-grade fasteners. Meanwhile, its ring gear is built out of heat-treated 1050 steel, which is secured with Grade 8 button screws for lasting security. A stepped dowel system is used to keep this flywheel in place for exceptional strength.

      Re-Buildable Surface. This flywheel features a replaceable 1045 steel friction surface. This allows newly installed clutches to "bed in" properly, so you can drive with exceptional speed and consistent grab.

      SFI 1.1-Certified. To ensure peace of mind, this Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel is SFI 1.1-certified. This makes it ideal for competitive applications.

      Protected by a Limited 1-Year Warranty. For quality assurance, this Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel is protected by Fidanza’s 1-year warranty against defects in material or workmanship from the purchase date. Some exclusions may apply. Please contact our customer support for more information.

      Application. This 8-Bolt Fidanza Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel fits all 1996 to 2004 4.6L Ford Mustang models.

      Please Note. Mustangs with Romeo built engines are engineered with 6-bolt cranks, while Windsor engines have 8-bolt cranks. A Windsor block has an "X" as its VIN’s 8th character, while the Romeo block has a "W" instead. The 2001 Bullitt Mustang is an exception which features a Romeo built engine. Please check with your Ford dealer to find out if you have a 6 or an 8 bolt main.
