Built to provide a solid foundation for subsequent performance upgrades, this crate engine features a compression ratio of 9.0:1, as well as a horsepower rating up to 340HP. Thus, this crate engine provides you with the extra power you need, significantly increasing performance and efficiency.
Construction. The Ford Performance 302 CI 340HP Crate Engine features Ford's GT-40 "X" M-6049-X306 cylinder heads for maximum airflow. It comes with the "E" camshaft for either automatic or manual transmissions. In addition, it also features the Ford Performance E-Cam M-6250-E303 for more power. Made for racing and marketed with a relatively wallet-friendly price tag, this engine gives multiple meanings to the word “competitive.”
Professional Installation Recommended. Professional installation is recommended for this crate engine. Please note, however, that this Ford Performance Crate Engine does NOT include the Intake Manifold or Distributor.
Installation Note. This crate engine is intended solely for competitive use. Installation of this engine on vehicles driven on public roads and highways may violate US and Canadian emission laws and regulations.
