Rotary Forged. Forgestar uses a unique Rotary Forged Flow forming process that both lightens and strengthens the wheel. The process starts with a low pressure aluminum casting that is set in a special machine that spins and heats the outer barrel of the wheel, then steel rollers press against the barrel to pull the rim into its final width and shape. The combination of the heat, pressure and spinning creates a barrel with the strength similar to that of a forged wheel.

Bead Seat Knurling. Forgestar designed their F14 Drag Edition Wheels with bead seat knurling. Knurling is a pattern of straight grooved lines that are machined into the bead seat of the wheel to provide a surface for the tire to grip into when mounted. This knurling helps to prevent the tire from slipping or spinning around the rim during hard launches.
