Twin 65mm Cobra Jet Throttle Body Assembly
Throttle Stop Warning Instruction


CAUTION: DO NOT TURN THE THROTTLE STOP!


The Throttle Stop Will Break Before Turning. Broken Throttle Stops Will Not Be Warranted And Cannot Be Replaced. The Stop Has Been Precisely Calibrated; Do Not Attempt To Change It. The Engine Idle Speed Must Be Set In The Calibration, Not With The Throttle Stop.


Tools Required


¼ Inch Ratchet
6 Inch Long Extension
5/16 Inch Socket
8MM Socket
10MM Socket
Flathead Screwdriver
Handheld Tuner With Appropriate Tune


! Installation Of This Throttle Body Requires A New Computer Tune !


Before


Installation Procedure


1). Disconnect the PCV hose and vacuum hose on the stock Cold Air Intake.


2). Slide the latch back on the Mass Air Flow sensor connector and disconnect the harness.


3). Remove the 10MM bolt holding the front of the Cold Air Intake in place


4). On the 2013 GT500 there are 2 plastic inserts on the front of the air filter housing and 2 on the bottom of the air filter housing that hold part of the wiring harness. Disconnect the wiring harness.


5). Loosen the hose clamp that holds the Cold Air Intake to the throttle body. The flat head screwdriver or the 5/8 inch socket can be used to loosen the hose clamp.


6). Remove the Cold Air Intake from the vehicle making sure not to lose the grommets for the locater pins that go into the top of the fender.


7). Remove the stock throttle body by disconnecting the two electrical connectors and the four 8MM bolts holding the stock throttle body on.



Comparison Of Stock And Twin 65MM Throttle Bodies


8). Install the new throttle body using the four original 8MM bolts. Tighten the bolts to 89 inch-pounds (7.4 foot-pounds)


9). Connect the two electrical connectors to the new throttle body.


10). If re-using the stock Cold Air Intake system, re-install in opposite order of disassembly.


* I took this opportunity to install an aftermarket Cold Air Intake system


Completed Project


11). Install the new computer tune and enjoy the performance upgrade.
