How to Install GMS High Performance Slot-Style MAF Meter / Sensor - Calibrated (15-17 GT) on your Ford Mustang

Installation Time

Removal Procedure:


1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from its terminal by loosening the hold down nut with a 10mm wrench.


2. Locate the mass air flow sensor on the front of the air inlet tube.


3. Disconnect the MAF connector by pulling back on the red tab and then pulling on the connector.


4. Carefully remove the two screws holding the sensor in place.


5. Pull out the factory MAF sensor.


Installation Procedure:


1. Insert the GMS MAF Sensor. Note the position of the air flow arrow on the sensor which should be pointing towards the throttle body / intake.


2. Replace screws. Tighten firmly by hand.


3. Replace MAF electrical connector. Be sure to push in the red locking tab.


4. Replace the negative battery cable.


5. Start car and go for a test drive. Enjoy!
