How to Install Hood Stripes on your 2010-2012 Mustang

Prep:
- Ensure that your vehicle especially area of installation has been thoroughly cleaned and free of dust/dirt as these will impede proper adhesion
- Vehicle should be out of sunlight and area of installation should be cool to the touch as a hot surface will cause adhesive to dry quickly without allowing you enough time to place decal properly

Installation:
1. Spray installation area with soap & water solution (2 or 3 drops diluted in plenty of water)

2. Peel backing from the pointed edge of the decal and line it up with protrusion of the hood. Since it is custom made it should line up easily. Continue to peel the rest lining up the decal as you peel.

3. Smooth out the decal and remove any air bubbles with your plastic squeegee. Be careful not to pull on the decal as it this point it can still slide around.

4. Next, cut any excess part of the decal with your razorblade or xacto knife being careful not to scratch your paint. Repeat the entire procedure with other stripe on the other side of the car.

5. Do not wash the car and avoid getting area wet for the next few days so it can completely dry.
