How to Install Injen Power-Flow Cold Air Intake - Wrinkle Black on your Mustang

Complete stock intake shown. Disconnect battery before install.


A) Disconnect the MAF sensor from harness.
B) Loosen the 10mm bolt holding in the air box.


Loosen the clamp on the turbo using 8mm nut driver


Disconnect crank case line from intake tube.


Carefully lift up and pull out the stock air box assembly.


With T25 torx bit, loosen and remove the stock MAF sensor from the air box.


Carefully pull out the MAF sensor and set aside.


A) Install the MAF sensor into the Injen intake tube. B) Secure the MAF sensor using provided M4 button head screws. Tighten using 2.5mm allen key.


Install the vibra mount to the bracket.


Secure the vibra mount using provided M6 nut and washer. Tighten using 10mm socket or wrench.


Position bracket to the factory air box insert.


Secure the bracket using provided M6 hex screw. DO NOT TIGHTEN.


With clamps provided, attach to the step hose.


Install the step hose to the throttle body and tighten on the throttle body only using 8mm nut driver.


Install the intake tube and position the bracket to the vibra mount and to the throttle body.


Secure the bracket using provided M6 nut and washer.


Install the air filter to tube and position.


Position for the best fit and clearance and tighten both bracket using a 10mm socket or wrench. Tighten the clamp on the throttle body using 8mm nut driver.


Connect the crank case line to the fitting on the intake tube. Make sure you hear the click.


Connect the MAF sensor harness. If vehicle is equipped with a vacuum line, connect to 3/8” fitting on intake tube. IF not equipped, cap-off using provided vinyl plug.


Check the entire system for the best possible fit. Once you have checked the entire system for leaks, rubbing or rattling, continue to tighten all nuts, bolts and clamps. Reconnect the negative battery terminal prior to starting the engine.


Congratulations! You have just completed the installation of the best engineered intake system, featuring Web Nano-fiber dry filter. Periodically, check the system for fitment, this will enhance the life of your Power-Flow system.


1. Upon completion of the installation, reconnect the negative battery terminal before you start the engine.

2. Align the entire intake system for the best possible fit. Once the intake has been properly fitted continue to tighten all nuts, bolts and clamps.

3. Periodically, recheck the alignment of the intake system and make sure there is proper clearance around and along the length of the intake. Failure to follow proper maintenance procedures may cause damage to the intake and will void the warranty.

4. Start the engine and listen carefully for any odd noises, rattles and/or air leaks prior to taking it for a test drive. If any problems arise go back and check the vacuum lines, hoses and clamps that maybe causing leaks or rattles and correct the problem.

5. Check the filter for excessive dirt build up. Clean or replace the filter with an original Injen/AMSOIL filter now sold on-line at "injenonline.com"). Congratulations! You have just completed the installation of the best intake system sold on the market. Enjoy the added power and performance of your new intake system.
