Installation

1. Open hood and proceed to unlock air box using plastic tabs at the rear. If the tabs won’t release place firm pressure on the lid with one hand and press release latches in.

2. Raise air filter cover slightly one inch and slide cover backward ½ inch until clears three rear latch tabs.

3. Remove stock air filter.

4. Clean out the base of air box of any debris. (If really dirty remove air box from vehicle with 10mm socket, rinse clean and air dry.)

5. Install new K&N Air Filter with ribs facing horizontal to the rear of the Mustang.

6. Proceed to reassembly in reverse order.

7. Place “K&N - Stop Do Not Discard” sticker on air box cover

8. Start car listen to your engine breath freely, you should notice an improved throttle response and whistle noise.

9. Test drive and enjoy your new K&N High Flow Air Filter.

Helpful Hints:

You shouldn’t have to clean it for at least 50,000 miles unless you live in a dust environment or once a year. When recharging your filter with new oil allow to dry overnight to avoid gumming up your Mass Air Flow Sensor. I highly recommend saving your old filter if it’s not too dirty to use in the future while you’re K&N naturally dries after oiling if you require the vehicle same day.

Only Use:
K&N Air Filter Cleaner and Filter Oil Spray.
