With more than fifty years of experience in the design and creation of race-winning exhaust headers, Kooks has produced its 1-7/8” x 3" Headers to give Mustang Mach 1 and Cobra models bigger horsepower gains than any of the competitors. They look great, perform spectacularly and sound stunning.

Produces the Famous Kooks Sound. These Kooks Race Headers have to be used with Kooks Connection Pipes, which will impart a different character to the exhaust sound, depending on the style of connection pipes used. Even if you go for a catted mid-pipe arrangement from Kooks, you’ll get a big, bold Kooks exhaust sound.

Factory Cats Deleted. Use of the Kooks Race Headers results in the Ford factory cats being eliminated. Kooks offers both catted and non-cat mid pipes that provide for greater exhaust flow than stock.

Classic Kooks Stainless Steel Build. The Kooks 1-7/8” x 3" Race Headers are mandrel bent and assembled from the finest stainless steel for a durable, attractive finish. They’re engineered to smoothly accept exhaust from the engine and help it exit as fast as possible.

Calibration Needed. These Headers allow for superior performance tuning. They will need calibration to release the maximum gains.

No Carb Compliance. The Race Headers are not CARB-compliant and can't be used in California or states that use California emissions rules. They should only be used off-road.

Application. Kooks Headers fit 1996-2004 Ford Mustang Cobra and Mach 1 vehicles. Smog connections for 1996–1998 cars are not included. Aftermarket steering shaft recommended. EGR is an optional extra.
