      Description

      Extra Safety. SFI approved by all major race sanctioning bodies the Lakewood Safety Bellhousing (a.k.a. scatter shield) is to protect the driver and bystanders from deadly shrapnel in the event of a clutch or flywheel explosion.

      Superior Strength. This Lakewood transmission bellhousing is hydroformed from premium quality steel plate for a uniform thickness throughout the entire housing for superior strength. The housing features MIG-welded threaded inserts for the transmission mounting bolts and is precision machined to assure proper bolt hole and center bore alignment.

      Application. The Lakewood SFI Safety Bellhousing is designed to be used in a 1979-1993 Mustang with 6-Bolt Manual Transmission. Comes complete with safety block plate and grade 8 hardware.
