Black Powder-Coated Finish. The Maximum Motorsports Extreme-Duty Rear Lower Control Arm comes in a beautiful black powder-coated finish. This protective and aesthetic layer will look great for as long as it lasts.
Strong Steel Construction. The stock rubber control arm bushings can bend and flex under accerleration, making it difficult to control your Mustang. The large 2" diameter round steel tube design provides you with the highest strength and durability. You can now be more confident when you drive, especially when putting your car under pressure on the track.
Improved Performance and Stability. A pair of rear lower control arms can help keep your Mustang's rear planted when you launch. Maximum Motorsports uses a 3-part bushing at the chassis end of the arm that remains rigid under acceleration, while still allowing for maximum handling in corners. On the axle end, MM uses a Teflon-lined spherical bearing to allow for more free movement and prevent chassis damange.
Bearings Eliminate Wheel Hop. These rear control arms feature spherical bearings at both ends, which eliminate the deflection that can cause wheel hop. At the same time, it allows for the accurate articulation of the rear suspension that is required for proper handling. These bearings also help to reduce stress on the chassis torque-boxes, which is greatly reduced because of this design.
Application. The Maximum Motorsports Extreme-Duty Rear Lower Control Arm will fit on all 1999-2004 Ford Mustangs, excluding Cobra models.
