Description
Consistent High-Performance Braking. While power-assisted brakes may be useful in normal everyday driving, it falls short in high-performance driving as fluctuating engine vacuum will affect the brake’s performance. The Maximum Motorsports Manual Brake Conversion Kit lets you convert your power-assisted brakes to the manual brakes for more consistent performance. Additionally, manual brakes allow for brake modulation which can be very difficult when using power-assisted brakes. Note that this kit will use the stock master cylinder but is also compatible with aftermarket master cylinders appropriately sized for manual brakes.
High-Performance Design. The Maximum Motorsports engineers know how crucial a good manual brake system is to racing applications and to discerning drivers. Every component was carefully designed and crafted for the required task. One example is that the new pedal arm included in the system will reduce pedal effort when compared with reusing the stock pedal arm with the manual conversion.
Designed for Direct Fit Installation. Converting to manual is not a quick process but it’s within the normal difficulty range of Mustang DIY projects. Note that new pre-bent hardlines are required as the master cylinder will be moved beyond the reach of the stock hardlines.
Application. The Maximum Motorsports Manual Brake Conversion Kit is designed to fit all 1979 to 1993 Ford Mustang models.
