MMRLCA-50&51 requires rear coil-overs and a rear swaybar that does not attach to the rear lower control arms, such as the Maximum Motorsports Adjustable Rear Swaybar.
1. Block the front wheels to keep the car from rolling.
2. Jack up the rear of the vehicle and firmly support the chassis on jack stands.
3. Lower the rear axle to a height just above full droop. Support the axle on jack stands.
4. Remove the rear wheels.
5. Remove the rear swaybar from the control arms. There are four bolts, two per side.
6. Loosen, but do not remove, all lower control arm pivot bolts. There are two bolts per control arm.
7. If the car does not have rear coil-overs, go to step
8. If the car already has coil-overs remove the lower control arm pivot bolt from the axle end and go to step 9. 8. Support the control arm near the axle mount with a jack. Remove the lower control arm pivot bolt from the axle end. Slowly lower the jack to release the spring tension. Be careful not to lower it too quickly or the spring may become dislodged and fly out, causing injury and/or damage. Once the spring is completely uncompressed, remove it from the car.
9. Remove the lower control arm pivot bolt from the chassis end and remove the control arm from the car.
10. Install the new Maximum Motorsports Road Race Control Arm. The control arm does not have a front or rear.
Note: The MM Road Race Control Arms are preset to the stock length. If you adjust the length, be sure the rod ends on each arm are clocked in the same plane after tightening the jam nuts.
11. Repeat steps 6-10 for the opposite side.
12. Install the rear coil-over kit and rear swaybar if the car does not already have one.
13. Tighten all lower control arm pivot bolts to the following torque specifications:
14. Reinstall the rear wheels.
15. Lower the car to the ground and torque the lug nuts to factory specifications.
