Aggressive Racing Stance. This set of Maximum Motorsports Road & Track Lowering Springs is designed to give your Convertible a lowered, racing look whether you’re driving on the street or on a track. However, the aesthetic benefits are secondary to the functional benefits. The lower center of gravity improves handling and improves cornering. Additionally, the springs improves handling without a significant reduction in ride quality. And the moderate lowering maintains the Convertible’s good road manners.
High-Performance Springs. The Road & Track Lowering Springs are designed to have a slightly higher rate than Ford OEM Bullitt, Mach 1, and Terminator rates. This additional stiffness help to minimize body roll during cornering and nose dive while braking. As a bonus, the high spring rate also quickens steering response which is always beneficial in any driving condition.
Bolt-On Installation. The springs are made application-specific and no additional cutting or fabrication will be required. Note that some specialist tools may be required during installation. Furthermore, Maximum Motorsports recommends replacing the spring isolators as a best practice when replacing the springs.
Application. Maximum Motorsports Road & Track Lowering Springs are designed to fit 1996 to 1998 Ford Mustang Convertible and 1999 to 2004 Ford Mustang GT Convertible models. The kit is only to be used for Mustangs equipped with a solid axle.
