      Description

      Maintains Clutch Pressure. If you are replacing your clutch, you should also replace your pressure plate to ensure proper clamping force. Not doing so could cause damage to your Mustang’s new clutch. Also, if your current pressure plate is failing, failure to replace could cause damage to your clutching system. This McLeod Pressure Plate features a 10.5-inch diaphragm with an 11-3/8-inch bolt circle. The 8mm hole pattern included dowel pin holes.

      Better than Cast Iron. McLeod constructs this pressure plate from ductile iron that is finished in a bold red powder coat. Pressure plates that are constructed from ductile iron are preferable than those constructed from cast iron. Ductile iron bends without breaking unlike cast iron that is brittle in nature and will break when bent. This pressure plate does not require counter weights either like some of the others do. It is rated for a 2,400-pound plate load.

      Installation Information. This installation does require at least a moderate mechanical ability. Hardware is not included and in most cases, you can reuse your stock hardware if it has not been damaged.

      McLeod’s Warranty. Your new pressure plate is covered by McLeod’s limited 90-day warranty. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that occur during normal use when the pressure plate has been properly installed.

      Application. The 10.5-inch McLeod Pressure Plate fits 1986 to 2001.5 Ford Mustang V8 models.
