Pilot Sport 4S convert

I'm not buying all of the fantastic reviews for this tire. I recently replaced the Pilot Super Sports on my GT500 with Pilot Sport 4S. Night and day difference. Not only does my car feel much more stable on the highway, I have yet to be able to make the 4S breakaway on hard acceleration. Super Sports often felt odd when changing lanes on a highway (unstable for an instant) and the traction was just okay on a hard takeoff. They also quickly wore down to 4-5/32 tread after about 10K mi. I'm so happy with the 4S. The 2nd best decision I ever made on this car was to take Super Sports off; best decision was to get rid of the GY F1s.

Amazing tire

Got these in 305/35/19 for the rear on my 14 5.0 a year ago. The super sport blew my mind with how much grip it gave. The Pzero would spin 1-2 gear. First was useless UNTIL I got these. I was finally able to launch without wheel spin or fishtailing. Also surprisingly good in the rain. Only negative is their lifespan. 11k miles later and they lost their grip and will need replacing. Not rich enough to buy them every year, but if you are, GET THEM!

Great tires!!!

Me and my buddy both have s550’s and we are bothing running these michelin’s on the pp wheels. These tires on good in the rain and are grippy in the dry! Really good tires for higher speeds and corners

Best tire I have ever had

American Muscle mounted and balance this custom set of Micheline Super Sports on old school Shelby wheels with the front being 255x20 on 10” wheels and the rear being 285x20 on 11” wheels. These look awesome on my 06 Mustang GT convertible but I bet I could have went one size wider front and back. Even though these tires took a few extra days to get in as they were out of stock, they are worth the wait, because they are as new as you can get. The first day I put them on in my shop I had to drive out the stone drive to the cement drive at the house garage. These tires are so sticky that they picked up the small #8 flat gravel, not in any of the tread but just sticking to the rubber and laid it back down on the cement. I had to get out and clean them off and sweep the drive before I could hit the road. American Muscle mounted, balanced and delivered to my door. So no waiting around at the local tire dealer. Really the balancing part was pretty easy for them as with every other Micheline I have ever bought they didn’t take much weight. One only had 1 of the smallest weights and the others had 3 or 4 weights. My old tires had three times that much weight on them. This is one reason Micheline gets such good reviews. It has been a couple months now and the ride is excellent they no longer pick up the stones near like at first but these tires stick to the road. I could not have made a better choice. I haven't drove in wet conditions so I did not rate them for wet traction.

If you are looking for a solid tire that will grip the road then the Michelin Pilot Super Sport is the way to go. Great purchase.

Great grip

I've thoroughly enjoyed my PSS for the last year. They've survived sebring track days, a Florida rainy summer, and cold nights in North Florida. Superior traction in wet and dry, minimal road noise, great ride quality. I will definitely order these again.

The best if you want to go fast.

Cornering ability and all around grip is unmatched. obviously these tires are a little stiffer than most, and not much difference in road noise than stock pirellis. launches have been significantly improved.
