How To Install a MMD Deck Lid Panel for your 2005-2009 Mustang

1. Open the package, check contents - When you receive the MMD decklid panel it will arrive nicely wrapped in the box as show. There is also a printout of how to install the part, and two alcohol swabs. 

2. Prepare the area for installation- use the alcohol swabs to fully remove all dust and debris from the entire decklid area, pay special attention to corners and the area around the trunk emblem. 

(Hint): If your mustang has not been washed recently, I would recommend either cleaning it, or rinsing down the decklid area with a hose and drying with a microfiber cloth. Taking these steps before using the alcohol swab will prevent scratching the paint, and improve adhesion. 

3. Remove backing from adhesive strips – once the backing has been removed make sure not to directly touch the adhesive strips to avoid getting dirt and unwanted particles in them 

4. Position and place - Once all of the backing has been removed from the adhesive, position and place the decklid panel. A simple method to make sure that it is straight is to open the trunk and line it up with the body of the car (As shown below). Press firmly over all areas to make a secure install. 

5. Enjoy! – Admire the aggressive look of your new mustang modification.
