How to Install MMD Hood Vent Scoops - Unpainted on your Mustang

Remove the hood liner push pins and hold back the liner to gain access to the factory hood vent mouting nuts.

Remove the 2 9mm nuts holding the factory vent in place, depress the vent clips on the underside and remove.

Note: It is important to hold the vent while applying pressue to prevent any damages to the painted hood surface. The vents have a tendency to pop out.

Install the supplied clip stud to the underside of the Hood Vent Scoop.

Optional:

Tape off the hoods vent (inside the dashed white lines above) and apply a black removal paint such as plastic-dip. This will prevent the body color to show through the vent opening. It is recommended that you apply 4-5 medium coats for ease of future removal.

Test fit the Vent Scoop. Then remove the 3M tape backing from the mounting lip.

Apply downward pressure on the rear of the Vent so that the lip slides under the edge of the hood, then secure with the supplied washers and nuts.
