      Understanding Your Charger’s Engine Mounts. Your Charger’s Engine Mounts are an essential drivetrain component, securing the engine in place to prevent excess torque movement and dampen drivetrain vibrations for a comfortable, premium driving experience. Your Charger is equipped with several drivetrain mounts on both the motor and transmission, evenly distributing engine torque to ensure that the drivetrain remains securely fastened to the chassis. 

      Replace A Damaged Engine Mount. After years of service, exposure to high temperatures, and abuse from absorbing engine movement, your Charger’s factory engine mounts are most likely exhibiting signs of wear and tear. In addition, the vulcanized rubber bushings used to isolate vibrations will often deteriorate, allowing the engine to rotate excessively during acceleration, resulting in an audible clunk and visual movement. If you’re experiencing either of these symptoms, it may be time to replace one or more engine mounts may be time.
