Description
Practical Ignition System Upgrade. Take advantage of the benefits of a direct coil-per-plug ignition system with this MSD Ignition Conversion Kit in Red. This kit allows you to convert your distributor cap-equipped engine into a more modern direct coil-per-plug system. The result is increased spark output for maximum fuel combustion and boosts in power and performance.
Complete Control. This ignition conversion kit also provides you with the capability to fully control your Mustang’s ignition timing. This is achieved by the included USB that’s preloaded with the exclusive MSDView app. This app once loaded onto your laptop or computer gives you access to fully programmable 2D and 3D timing maps. These timing maps allow you to adjust your ignition timing before loading the new data back into your engine via the system’s included ECU.
Robust Build Quality. This kit includes a dual sync distributor featuring a housing machined from a high-grade alloy billet, making this unit extremely robust and unaffected by engine bay heat and vibrations. Likewise, its ECU features a case machined from a similar metal alloy that keeps its internal components protected. Moreover, this kit comes with smart coils featuring red automotive-grade plastic enclosures to give your engine bay a unique style.
No Nonsense Install Procedure. The individual components of this ignition conversion kit are designed to install into preexisting locations in your engine bay. Installation is a fairly no-nonsense procedure since the included harnesses ensure a mostly plug-and-play process. That said, you might need to drill a few mounting holes to install the included ECU.
