How To Install an AVS Smoked Hood Deflector on your 2010-2012 Mustang V6, GT, Boss

Wash your hood so it is clean of contaminates 

Using the supplied alcohol wipes, clean the area where the tape is going to meet the hood. 

Peel a small section of the tape cover away from the inside sections, making tabs that stick past the outside of the hood deflector so you can grab them later. 

Carefully align the hood deflector on the hood, making sure both ends are even with the hood. It helps if you have a second person to hold the hood deflector in place. 

When you are satisfied with the alignment, push down in the center, seating the tape that you exposed earlier. 

Starting with a bottom strips, one at a time start peeling the tape cover away, pressing down on the hood deflector as you go to seat the tape. Work from the center out towards the ends. Make sure to keep the hood deflector aligned as you do this. 

If you are satisfied with the way the bottom tape seated, start removing the tape cover from the top strips one at a time, working from the center to the end. 

Remove the plastic cover from the hood deflector. Re-check to make sure you are happy with the alignment.
