How to Install Nxt Step Performance Axle-Back Exhaust (15-19 EcoBoost w/o Active Exhaust) on your Ford Mustang

Step 1: Elevate the rear of your vehicle using either a jack and jack stands, a car lift, or ramps.

Step 3: Use a reciprocating saw or exhaust cutters to cut the stock piping at the marked location.

Step 4: Once cut, slide the stock muffler out of the rear exhaust hanger located above the exhaust tips.

Step 5: Take one of the two clamps provided and slide it over the newly cut pipe.

Step 6: Take the correct Nxt Step muffler for the side you are working on and slide the hanger into the rear exhaust hanger on the vehicle. Now slide the piping exiting the new muffler over the cut stock exhaust.

Step 7: Slide the previously placed clamp over the new union and using a 3/8” ratchet and 15mm socket tighten down the clamp to 30Nm.

Step 8: Repeat Steps 2 to 6 for the other side to complete the installation.
