How to install a GT Style Rear Spoiler on your 1999-2004 Mustang

Note: This install guide is for 99-00 Mustangs and Mustangs w/o pre drilled holes

Installation Process:

1. Open the trunk of your car

2. Use the 10mm socket wrench to unscrew the (6) bolts securing the current spoiler (three bolts on each side).

3. At this point it is suggested to have someone to assist you so that the current spoiler doesn’t fall causing damage to the current spoiler or your rear window.

4. Take a moment to clean the hard to reach places of the current spoiler.

5. I wanted to ensure that the gaskets were aligned evenly before removing the adhesive from the rubber gaskets. So I placed the gaskets and spoiler on the trunk and measured with a ruler to ensure I was even on each side.

6. I then used painters tape and marked where the gaskets would go. Prior to removing the gasket adhesive paper I also placed painters tape over the gaskets.

7. After securing the rubber gaskets use the power drill to make holes where they are indicated inside of each rubber gasket.

8. Remove the adhesive paper from the rubber gaskets and secure them in place over the holes you just made.

9. Using an assistant or two (I used two assistants) secure the GT Style spoiler over the new holes you created.

10.Using the Philips screw driver or power drill w/ Philips drill bit, secure the screws from inside the trunk into the pre drilled holes in the new spoiler.
