How to Install a Performance Automatic Street/Strip Shift Kit on your 1992-1995 Mustang GT and V6

AODE/4R70W Shift Kit Instructions

1. Remove 8 check balls, drain back valve, filter and P.R. valve train from valve body. Thoroughly clean valve body and filter with solvent. Blow off with compressed air.

2. Replace Pressure regulator spring with blue spring provided.

3. Replace 2-3 backout valve spring with plain spring supplied. If OE valve has no spring, leave it as is. Do not i􀀵stall the plain spring.

4. Replace 3-4 Capacity Modulator valve spring with yellow spring provided.

5. Drill valve body plate as follows using drill bits (not supplied):

1. .109 (7/64")
2. .109 (7/64")
3. If hole C is smaller than 1/8" (.l25) drill out with the 1/8" (.125) , if larger leave as is.
4. Drill to .l25 (l/8") If this hole is larger or slotted, leave as is.
5. Drill to .093 (3/32") If hole E is nbt in the plate, use the gasket as a template and make the .093 (3/32") hole in this location.

6. Install check balls, filter and drainback valve as shown.

7. Install white spring supplied inside O.E. spring on 2-3 accumulator piston. "

8. Remove 1-2 accumulatorpjstdn􀀶)Dis􀀷atd:R1FbEM springs. Install the two large red springs supplied into 1-2 accumulator bore. Reinstall the 1-2 accumulator piston. Install green spring supplied, retainer and snap ring.
