Installation

Power Mirror - RH - Coupe/Hatchback (87-93 All)

1. Remove the two plugs in the arm rest

2. Remove the two 10mm bolts that secure the arm rest to the door. After this is done you will want to remove the three Philips head screws that are on the door panel one is located on the rear of the arm rest one on the speaker grill and the one that secures the door handle bezel.

3. Remove the door handle bezel then remove the single Philips head screw that secures the access panel to the back side of the mirror.

4. Loosen both the nuts on the old mirror once loose remove the door panel by sliding your fingers around the edges of the door panel and pop out the fasteners that secure it. Gently pull up on the panel to free it from the door and set it down carefully the door lock and window switch harness will still be connected you may have to unplug these for extra access to the mirror harness. If your car has never had the door panel off before you will have to peal back a portion of the factory plastic that covers the inner workings of the door.

5. Remove the nuts from the mirror studs and then pop the mirror connection free from its mounting location.

6. Unplug the mirror connection then simply just pull the mirror free from the door. Once removed take the new American Muscle mirror and fish the new mirror connector through the hole in the door then slide the new mirrors studs into the mounting holes. Once it is in place start the two 9mm nuts on the studs don’t tighten this is to prevent mirror from falling out.

7. Connect the new mirror to the factory harness and secure it to the door in factory location.

8. Tighten the 9mm nuts on the mirror studs retrace your steps to replace the door panel and you’re done.
