      Description

      Peace of Mind. When replacing your clutch you have two options, resurfacing your old stock flywheel, or getting a brand new flywheel. A new flywheel is a much better choice than resurfacing, as the flywheel will dictate how well your clutch will perform, as well as how long it will last.Quality Construction. This RAM Billet Aluminum Flywheel is surface ground for a flat, parallel mating surface and balanced to the factory specification within a ½ ounce inch. Also the Aluminum Flywheels feature a ¼ inch thick steel friction surface for better heat dissipation without distortion that can occur with thinner inserts. Application. The RAM Billet Aluminum 28oz Flywheel fits the 1986 to 1995 5.0 Mustangs and is the perfect companion to your new RAM Clutch. It is also SFI certified for use in high performance applications at higher RPMs where stock cast flywheels can explode.Technical Note. If you are replacing a Flywheel on a stock application, it would be best to use a 50 ounce flywheel. If the Flywheel will be used on a modified/bored and stroked application a 28 ounce would be ideal. If you are having your engine rebuilt and are unsure what Flywheel to get, please contact your engine builder to confirm which Flywheel is necessary for your application as you have to match the engine's Harmonic Balancer weight with the Flywheel.
