Peace of Mind. When replacing your clutch you have two options, resurfacing your old stock flywheel, or getting a brand new flywheel. A new flywheel is a much better choice than resurfacing, as the flywheel will dictate how well your clutch will perform, as well as how long it will last. Quality Construction. This RAM Billet Steel Flywheel is surface ground for a flat, parallel mating surface and balanced to the factory specification within a ½ ounce inch. It is also SFI certified for use in high performance applications at higher RPMs where stock cast flywheels can explode. Application. The RAM Billet Steel 50oz Flywheel fits the 1986 to 1995 5.0 Mustangs and 1993-1995 Cobras and is the perfect companion to your new RAM Clutch. Technical Note. If you are replacing a Flywheel on a stock application, it would be best to use a 50 ounce flywheel. If the Flywheel will be used on a modified/bored and stroked application a 28 ounce would be ideal. If you are having your engine rebuilt and are unsure what Flywheel to get, please contact your engine builder to confirm which Flywheel is necessary for your application as you have to match the engine's Harmonic Balancer weight with the Flywheel.
