Mustang Rocker Stripes ('79-'11) - Installation Instructions

Headlight Covers Install:

1. Clean rocker panels well to ensure good adhesion of the stripes. Fill a spray bottle with a mixture of water and dish soap. You can also use glass cleaner if you choose. Be sure to install decal out of direct sunlight.

2. Using razor blade or scissors, cut down the center of the sheet dividing the two sections of stripes

3. Using painters tape, mark a line down the rocker panel that is even with the body line of the car. This will ensure stripes are put on evenly.

4. Spray rocker panel with generous amount of the soap and water mixture.

5. You can choose to either install the stripes in one large piece, or cut them into three sections and apply. Peel backing from stripes exposing the adhesive.

6. Apply stripes to rocker panels. You will be able to maneuver the strips into their final positions once on the car because of the soap and water mixture you sprayed earlier.

7. Once stripes are in their final position, use the plastic squeegee to push any air bubbles towards the edges of the stripes.

8. When all air bubbles are out and the stripes have dried and adhered to vehicle, slowly peel transfer tape off as shown.

9. If you installed stripes in one large piece, use either an X-Acto knife or razor blade and cut the stripes at the front and rear of the door, making sure to trim any excess as well. Move to other side and repeat above steps for other stripe.
