How to Install a Roush Cold Air Intake (10-14 GT)

Tools Required:

 10mm Socket
 T-20 Torx Bit
 Ratchet
 6” Ratchet Extension
 Trim removal tool
 Fender cover

Removal Instructions:

1. Proceed to open hood and locate air box assembly

2. Cover fender with protective covering.

3. Using 5/16 socket and ratchet loose clamp that attaches inlet tube to air box lid and remove intake hose.

4. Disconnect mass air flow sensor wire harness at rear of air box.

5. Disconnect mass air flow sensor wire harness by first pushing red safety lock tang out and then depressing connectors top tab and proceed to pull out carefully.

6. Remove airbox assembly mounting bolt using 10mm socket.

7. Release air box clamps.

8. Remove mass air flow sensor from factory housing lid using T-20 Torx socket.
Note: Carefully store sensor in safe place until being reinstalled along with orginal two screws.

9. Using a body trim removal tool remove wiring harness from factory air box lid.

10. Remove Air box assembly cover lid and air filter from vehicle.

11. Remove lower air box assembly from vehicle.

12. Remove mass air flow harness from lower air box assembly using a body trim removal.

13. Remove body mount grommets from factory assembly.

Installation Instructions:

1. Re-attach orignal body mounting grommet and retainer to Roush air box assembly.

2. Install two J-clips to air box assembly.

3. Re-attach original body mount grommets to Roush lower assembly.

4. Install Roush air box assembly in to vehicle attach using oringal bolt tighten to 71 in-lb. using a 10mm socket.

5. Install mass air flow sensor in Roush intlet tube with orginal hardware screws tighen to 16 in-lb.

6. Install air filter to inlet tube using 5/16 socket and torque to 27 in-lb.

7. Attach factory intake hose to Roush mass air flow tube and tighen using 5/16 socket to 27 in-lb.

8. Secure Roush mass air flow tube to air box assembly using provied bolts, torque to 102 in-lbs using a 10mm socket.

9. Reattach mass air flow sensor harness install connector until locks and then push in red safety tab. Run harness wire around to back and reattach to factory harness.

10. Remove all tools and proceed to close hood for test drive.
