How to Install Roush Rocker Winglets - Unpainted on your Mustang

The following section will guide you through the installation of the rocker winglet kit 421882 (R1315-631050). 1. Thoroughly clean the bottom rear of the rocker panel with isopropyl alcohol and a terry cloth to promote a strong bond with the rocker winglets.

2. Spread the factory rear rocker trim piece apart from the rocker panel and insert the rocker winglet into the opening until it is fully seated. 

3. Align the winglet parallel with the rocker panel edge and then mark each mounting hole

4. Remove the winglet and peel the red backing off of the mounting tape.

5. Reinstall the winglet and line it up with the previously marked holes. Install the rear selftapping mounting screw with a 7 mm socket. Torque to 1.0 Nm. 

6. Install the front self-tapping mounting screw with a 7 mm socket. Torque to 1.0 Nm.

7. Firmly apply upward pressure along the rocker winglet to make sure of adequate adhesion of the mounting tape. Repeat steps 1 through 6 for installation of the rocker winglet on the opposite side of the vehicle
