1. Removing the stock shifting knob is easy. All you have to do is grasp the knob with your hand and twist it counter clockwise. The knobs are merely screwed onto the shifter.
2. Thread on the supplied locking nut, turning it clockwise. The purpose of the nut is to lock your Roush Shift Knob tight, so it won't twist loose while your pony is winning a race. You are going to want the locking nut all the way down the threads of the shifter.
3. After your locking nut is in place, thread the Roush Shift Knob on the shifter, turning it clockwise.
4. Threading the Roush Shift Knob so it lines up properly is the tricky part. The objective is to align the numbers straight, while securing the shifting knob with the locking nut. You are just going to have to play with it. You will find that about 25% of the threads on the shifter are going to show, because the Roush Shift Knob isn't as big as the stock knob, and will not screw as far onto the shifter as the stock knob. Screw the Roush Shift Knob on as far as it will go. Then reverse it little bit and screw the locking nut as close to the shifter knob as you can. You are just going to work with it until the knob is as tight as you can get it, while trying to maintain the appearance of a straight shifter knob.
4. When you're done, you are going to find that the new shift knob is smaller than the stock knob. I believe you can grasp it with your hand a lot better, making shifting a lot more enjoyable; not to mention, it looks awesome.
